Our Heal + Prevent program is a customized wellness journey that will educate, rehab and strengthen your body and mind. It usually involves several physiotherapy and/or personal training sessions strategically designed to help you reach your specific goals.
Are all clients offered the Heal + Prevent program?
We may not offer some clients a Heal + Protect program, depending on the factors we assessed during our initial assessment. Sometimes, clients book sessions as needed without the Heal + Protect program format.
What do I need to bring to an appointment?
All you need to bring along are workout clothes you can comfortably move in and your water bottle!
Can you come to my home?
Yes, we can provide in-home physiotherapy sessions in many circumstances. Please indicate your preference and address when booking, and we’ll confirm availability.
Are virtual appointments available?
Yes! While in-person sessions enable physical contact for deeper movement assessment, we offer virtual personal training sessions and, when critical, virtual physiotherapy sessions. When booking, indicate your preference, and we’ll confirm availability.
For a virtual appointment, you will need an adjustable webcam so we can view your movements from optimal positions. Choose a room that gives you enough space to move around. Some simple exercise equipment is helpful but not necessary—we will recommend any equipment that would benefit you. Wear comfortable workout clothes and have water on hand, just as you would in the clinic.
Will my insurance cover this and do you offer direct insurance billing?
Yes, we offer direct insurance billing. At Pursue Physiotherapy + Performance, we work with most major insurance providers and do our best to make dealing with insurance as pain-free as possible. If you’d like us to confirm your physiotherapy insurance coverage, just let us know when you book. If your provider requires a co-pay, we accept cash, cheque or credit card.
Do you treat motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries?
Yes, we treat motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries. Ontario law regulates MVA billing procedures. If you have extended health insurance benefits, we must utilize those benefits before billing your car insurance company. For more details, please contact your car insurance claims adjuster. When scheduling your appointment, please inform us that your injury results from a motor vehicle accident. We are here to support your recovery and help you confidently return to an active lifestyle!
Do you treat work-related injuries under WSIB?
Yes, we treat work-related injuries that are billed through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Before your physiotherapy appointment, please report your injury to your employer and submit the necessary paperwork to WSIB. When scheduling your appointment, inform us that your upcoming session will be billed through WSIB. Let’s get you back to living your fullest life!
